6 – WETĪs a third-person shooter and melee brawler, WET is a fun and entertaining game. I want to use my already owned Dead Island 360 disc! While most would argue that Dying Light is a better game overall, I would fight to say Dead Island is still worth a play. There is an Xbox One Dead Island Definitive Collection that is available, but that requires a purchase of a separate game to play. Somehow Microsoft felt this game was best left on the island to die without backward compatibility. I pleasantly enjoyed my time fighting through the vacation resort island of the dead. The somewhat original first-person zombie game. 7 – Dead Islandīefore Dying Light, there was Dead Island. There is so much good in these games, but locking them to the Xbox 360 generation is a rough death to them. Getting some of those mods and enhancements to these games on the new consoles would help make these more AAA-like games. The mod community on PC has done a lot to facelift these games, and I’ll be honest, the glow-ups you see after are pretty incredible. Playing through each of these games a little on the Xbox 360 is a little rough, but with some enhanced power from the Xbox One X and/or X|S consoles, these games could really shine. They aren’t really indie-size studios making these games, but they’re not big giants like EA or Ubisoft making them either. Risen falls under that AA title type of game series. Looking up reviews on this game still shows there is a lot of love for it. I’ve only briefly been able to play this third-person RPG shooter from Obsidian Entertainment, but everything I played was pretty awesome! As with all the other games on this list, somehow, it couldn’t make the transition over to Xbox One and X|S. It is surprising that the original Army of Two made the cut, but not its subsequent games. Unfortunately, to us gamers, we’ll have to stick to playing these excellent co-op shooters on the original Xbox 360 until they get allowed to join the backward compatible program. Unfortunately, not every game from the Xbox 360 library has received this glorious feat of being able to be played on more modern Microsoft consoles. Some even with some enhanced visuals and performance. Many of the best Xbox 360 games are playable on the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles.
